Acquire, Store, Retrieve, View, Analyze

The Canary Enterprise Historian is the platform that acquires and stores large volumes of data generated from process applications. Our data historian software is used in applications ranging from 100 tags to over 1 million tags, demonstrating scalability and performance without the need for special computing hardware. It has a throughput rate of more than 3.6 million tvqs per second, easily meeting the requirements of high speed applications. The Canary Enterprise Historian can obtain data from many disparate data sources, allowing easy access via one central and easy to use interface.

The Canary Enterprise Historian administrative application can easily access any historian on your network; allowing monitoring and configuring from a single location. Administrative features such as automatic dataset validation, archiving, roll over and roll up, audit trails and performance monitoring make the Canary Enterprise Historian capable of performing in a complex enterprise. Multiple Canary Enterprise Historians can be used in environments that require redundancy and high data availability.

Data When and Where You Need It

AxiomTrend™ is an intuitive and easy to use data analysis client. It visually tranforms your process data into knowledge that can be used to improve your processes, increase quality, and enhance operational efficiency. It empowers operators, engineers, and managers to use a common analytical tool for viewing both real-time and historical process data anywhere at any time. AxiomTrend™ makes data visualization easy. View, analyze, and report trend information simply and quickly in the format you want. Trends are delivered to either a rich desktop as a standard application or in a browser as a web application.

AxiomTrend™ builds on the solid foundation of Canary Labs' legacy trend products delivering a next generation client/server solution. AxiomTrend™ is designed as an enterprise level product capable of delivering the rich content desired by today's diverse user community. Built around a server oriented architecture, it reduces the total cost of ownership over the life of the implementation. Using standard Web Services, it supports multiple connected Enterprise Historians and presents the data in a rich graphical manner to desktops, browsers (local and remote) and mobile devices.

AxiomTrend™ has the functionality of the legacy TrendLink product, but rather than being an application which must be installed on the desktop, AxiomTrend™ is a thin client that is installed with "ClickOnce" from a server site. The system architecture is flexible enough to support a mixture of client platforms. Whether the client is a browser or a desktop client the user experience is identical, reducing your cost to develop and deploy content.

Key Features

  • Web or desktop viewing clients
  • Easy deployment with no client installation necessary
  • Centralized management simplifies structure
  • Security features available include Active Directory, LDAP, and https

Simply and Quickly Visualize Data

TrendLink makes data visualization easy. View, analyze and report trend information simply and quickly in the format you want. Select the server (on the local machine or a remote server and choose from single or multiple data sources) then select the information you want to view, and drag and drop the tags and their scales to visually design the chart. Both real-time and historical data (from a historian such as the Canary Enterprise Historian) can be viewed from the same chart without reconfiguring, reloading or switching screens. Unlike other systems, TrendLink is available on the live, on-line/run-time system—not in a design or development mode.

Other powerful features include scrolling to different points in time (time shifting), easy configuration of legend areas, colors, fonts, scales, limits, formats, grid lines, and viewing orientation, and the ability to gather data from different data sources on the same trend. Trends may be saved for viewing at a later time and by different users.

TrendLink can also be used as an ActiveX control that can be embedded in other programs. For example, TrendLink can be embedded into Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Internet applications. A comprehensive set of automation interfaces and tools are provided and documented for ease of use. Through TrendLink, buttons can be programmed to have TrendLink display data available so that plant operators and other types of users do not need to have training or be familiar with the program in order to use it.

Key Features

  • Big picture view with drill-down capabilities
  • ActiveX control and automation
  • Simple click to configure new charts with auto-scale and auto-band
  • Single display for historical and live data
  • Annotation with audit trail
  • Supports batch mode with time shifting to compare trends
  • Interfaces to the Canary Enterprise Historian: OPC UA, OPC HDA, and OPC DA servers and Wonderware

Easily Create and Store Calculations

TrendCalc is a powerful and easy-to-use calculation editor that allows operators the ability to quickly create process calculations leveraging the tag properties already defined in the Canary Enterprise Historian greatly reducing the time required to create complex calculations.

TrendCalc allows organizations an easy application to scale raw inputs into engineering values, compute data based on two or more different tags, or perform complex, multi-step calculations for translation into meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) without manual intervention or requiring additional vendor solutions. Using the over 60 built-in mathematical and logical operations, anyone can perform efficiency analysis, real-time cost accounting or asset capacity usage, resulting in better, faster and more profitable decisions.

Key Features

  • Accepts input data from both OPC DA & HDA servers
  • Over 60 built-in functions and operations
  • Create, save and load different calculation templates with ease
  • No programming skills required
  • Handles multiple groups per configuration
  • Supports multiple triggers for each calculation
